Built for veterans ready to learn, organize, and take action—not those looking for someone else to file their claim.

THE VABN DIFFERENCE

Education before Execution.

Build Your VA Disability Claim With Confidence—Not Guesswork.

Most veterans are told what to file.

Very few are taught how to think about building a successful VA disability claim.

VA Benefits Navigator was built to bridge that gap through structured education, proven claim strategy, and practical implementation tools—so you understand the process before taking action.

Built by veterans, including a former VA Rating Specialist.

VA Claims Education

Learn how the VA evaluates evidence, service connection, diagnostic codes, and ratings so you understand the "why" behind every decision.

Claims Strategy

Develop a long-term claims strategy that helps you determine what to file, when to file, and how multiple conditions work together.

Guided Implementation

Turn knowledge into action using VA Benefits Navigator, our proprietary claim development platform, monthly workshops, and live coaching with a former VA Rater.

Education → Strategy → Execution

That’s the difference between simply filing a claim and building one designed to succeed.

why so many claims fail

The VA follows a system. If you don't understand it, you're guessing.

Most veterans don’t lose benefits because they aren’t eligible.

They lose them because no one has ever taught them how the VA evaluates evidence, service connection, diagnostic codes, and ratings.

Without understanding that system, every claim becomes a guess.

Rely on generic advice instead of a structured claims strategy

Submit evidence that doesn't clearly support service connection

Misunderstand how diagnostic codes determine ratings

File claims before developing a complete evidence strategy

Education replaces guesswork. Strategy drives better decisions. Execution builds stronger claims.

About Your co Host

Don Fried

Co-Founder & Product Architect

Don's journey through the VA disability system is deeply personal. While building his own claim, he watched his father—a three-war veteran—fight the VA for more than 15 years in pursuit of the benefits he had earned. Tragically, his father received his 100% disability decision letter on the very day he passed away, never knowing he had finally won his claim.

That experience became Don's driving force behind VA Benefits Navigator.

Determined to ensure other veterans didn't have to navigate the same confusion and frustration, Don partnered with former VA Rating Specialist Dewayne Kimble. Together, they built an education-first platform designed to help veterans understand the VA's process, build stronger claims, and develop long-term strategies before filing.

Both Don and his father ultimately achieved their VA disability ratings through the guidance and expertise of former VA Rating Specialist Dewayne Kimble—a testament to the power of understanding how the VA system actually works.
